Scope & Impact: The Visitor Information Center parking lot will will no longer be available for public parking beginning April 24.

Where: Visitor Information Center, Columbia Street Southwest and 15th Avenue SW. Signs will direct visitors to alternative parking areas.

When: Monday, April 24

Why: The closure is happening for safety reasons as work to demolish and replace the Irv Newhouse Building progresses. The Newhouse Replacement Project is part of the Legislative Campus Modernization Project (LCM) that includes the demolition of the Irv Newhouse Building and the construction of a replacement building and the rehabilitation of the Joel M. Pritchard Building. The project is expected to last through 2026.
