Visitor Accommodations
Changing tables
Infant changing tables are located in the following restrooms:
- First floor women's restroom in the northeast corner
- Second floor family restroom, located in the north hallway outside the Office of the Secretary of State
- Third floor family restroom, located in the north hallway, near the bust of George Washington
- Fourth floor family restroom, located in the north hallway near the entrance to the House Gallery
Drinking fountains
Drinking fountains are located outside the men's and women's restrooms on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th floor.
Internet access
Limited internet access is available to the public throughout the Legislative Building. The network is WSLPublic. No password is needed. After connecting to the WSLPublic network, open an internet browser to accept the terms and conditions.
Interpreting/Translation
Guided tours in languages other than English and ASL are not offered at the Washington State Capitol. Private tours are welcome to bring their own interpreters as needed. Translated self-guided materials are available in French, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, German, and Russian. Visitor Services hopes to expand these offerings in the future.
Requests for American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters must be arranged in advance by calling the Visitor Services Office at 360-902-8880. On site ASL interpreting services are not available.
Lactation room
A lactation room is available for nursing mothers on the first floor of the Legislative Building. Please stop by the Visitor Services office, on the first floor of the Legislative Building in room 111, for entry.
Restrooms
ADA accessible restrooms are available on all four floors of the Legislative Building. Family restrooms are located on the north side of the second, third and fourth floors.
