Reasonable Suspicion
This course helps you provide a safe environment for your employees by helping you identify and mitigate risk due to drug and substance abuse. You will gain the tools you need to ensure that your agency follows its own internal policies as well as state and federal laws.
We will explore legal concept of reasonable suspicion, which is the belief that a person may be involved in illegal activity such as drug or alcohol use at work. This belief must be based on factual evidence, not just a feeling. You will learn how the principals of reasonable suspicion can be used to help you enforce policies, avoid common errors, and document concerns related to substance abuse in the workplace.
Please bring your agency’s policies and procedures for a drug free workplace and any supporting forms with you to this training.
