Capitol Campus Update: LCM work to impact Capitol Way and 15th Ave. SW, Aug. 28 - Sept. 1

Scope & Impact: Legislative Campus Modernization (LCM) work will impact traffic along Capitol Way and 15th Avenue Southwest next week.
Flaggers will be onsite directing pedestrian and vehicle traffic throughout the work.
Where:
- Capitol Way at 15th Avenue Southwest:
- Traffic will go down to one lane heading South.
- On Aug. 31, the sidewalk will be closed to pedestrians.
- 15th Avenue Southwest:
- Traffic will go down to one lane, flaggers will direct traffic.
When: Monday, Aug. 28 through Friday, Sept. 1.
On Aug. 31, the sidewalk along the corner of Capitol Way and 15th Avenue Southwest will also be closed, and pedestrians should follow the marked detour.
Why: As part of the Newhouse Building Replacement Project, DES must make repairs to sidewalk and curb cut outs surrounding the construction site.
All work is weather dependent. Washington State Department of Enterprise Services (DES) has contracted with Hoffman Construction out of Seattle, Washington for this work.
